American anime mainstay A.D. Vision has announced its first DVD release. The DVD, scheduled for release at the end of January (simultaniously with a VHS release) of the OAV series "Tekken". Predicted to be a huge seller (as it is based on the mega-hit Playstation fighting games), the DVD version will retail for $29.95, and will be the uncut version. (Subtitled and dubbed versions of both edited and uncut versions will also be made available on VHS.)
A.D. Vision has not yet announced any other DVD releases, but is expected to if the Tekken release does well.
Pioneer has announced the release of a two DVD set of their newest title, "Battle Athletes." Expected to be released the week after Christmas of this year, the discs are expected to have three of the six episodes on them each for a total running time of 75 minutes. The packages will also include stickers.
