In a letter to Anime News Network, Ghiblink owner Michael Johnson announces that the web site has been restored, with only a few minor exceptions. "we're definitely ready for visitors to return to their favorite Miyazaki site," Johnson said.
Ghiblink (http://www.nausicaa.net) was a leading site for information on the works of Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, and Studio Ghibli until its destruction by unknown Russian hackers last fall. With help from the fan community, the site was able to completely rebuild itself in only a few months, utilizing cached copies of the page and old page copies on several mirrors. The news server is not yet back up, however.
"Thanks also go to your readers who have supported the site with their letters of sympathy and offers of help," Johnson adds. "The site wouldn't be the same without them!"
