Ghibli crew working on new Playstation RPG

IGN PSX reports that the animators at Studio Ghibli
are working on anime cut scenes for the new Playstation role playing game from Genki, to be called Tama Mayu (Jade Cocoon). Genki is best known for producing Fighters' Destiny and MRC for the Nintendo
64 system as well as the Dreamcast conversion of Virtua Fighter 3tb. Reportedly, the RPG will feature polygonal characters and re-rendered backgrounds similar to what was seen in Final Fantasy VII. It is rumored that a big name American publisher is looking into an American release for late '99 or early '00.
